Supernova
They say she danced into the world
Like a Supernova star
But by the time I knew her
She had fallen, oh so far
She'd learned when she was young
Not every soul should dance
And yet it didn't stop her
Every time she had the chance
But the music, it grew darker
Smothering her soul
So that by the time I knew her
She wasn't dancing anymore
Her smile never reached her eyes
Twin oceans filled with pain
I wish I could have helped her
Find her dance, again
Instead I watched her dying
A bit more every day
Fading in the mirror
Until her soul just danced away.
