A Year Anniversary
I sat alone staring at the sky, watching the sunset.
"No two sunsets can ever be the same, I thought.
I looked up and watched as a couple passed by holding hands. I looked at my palm, it felt as cold as ice. My heart ached. I looked at the time and watch it turn seven. Nostalgia held me in chains.
"It's a year already." I thought.
Memories played before me like it was yesterday.
"How fast can you run?" I asked.
How far can you run away from a memory imprinted in your head? The pain feels as fresh as yesterday. I looked at the calendar.
"It would be better." I said.
Because it's a year already... to an impossible love.
